Hello, I’m the maker behind Sewn in Stardust!
My love for sewing started with my Memee, who first taught me the basics of sewing as a child and then how to use a sewing machine as a teenager. She showed me how a simple piece of fabric and thread could be transformed into something entirely new. I was completely fascinated by it then, and honestly, I still am now. I’ve been making clothing since around 2010, back when I was in high school creating pieces with my theater department. What started as helping out with costumes and then eventually designing them slowly turned into something much bigger.
Sewn in Stardust really began because of my family and friends encouraging me to share what I do with more people. I was always making outfits for them and seeing their excitement when they wore something I made just for them made me realize how much joy this work really brings me. That feeling is still my favorite part of what I do. Seeing someone light up in an outfit made specifically for them.
What makes Sewn in Stardust different is that every item is made to order and you get to choose the fabric so your pieces feel personal and unique to you. I also work with custom measurements for each order so your outfit fits you as closely and comfortably as possible. These aren’t massed produced pieces, they’re made slowly, carefully, and with you in mind.
At the heart of it all, I like to think of what I do as turning fabric into magic. My hope is that when you wear one of my creations, you feel comfortable, confident, and like the best version of yourself!
